Sophisticated Food and Drink
Perk on Main is a small town joint with delicious food and drinks, that you don't find in just any 'ole small town, but then again, Durham isn't any any old town! We provide sophisticated food, namely our famous crepes, wraps, burritos and salads, and a full line of espresso and coffee drinks, teas and chais. All served with a small town attitude, which means when we say, "it's our pleasure to serve you", we REALLY mean it!
Check out our menu and your mouth is sure to water. We serve specials and soups every day. Some of the most popular include breakfast quesadillas and blintzes on the weekend and Thursday's special — The Thanksgiving Day Wrap. It's always a sell out.
Perk On Site
In late 2008, we began “Crepe Parties” where we set up shop in your house or at a reception. Every party, whether it is an engagement party, wedding reception, shower, graduation party, or Christening party, has been a ton of fun and a huge hit. Learn more about Perk on Site.

Good Neighbor and Good for the Environment
We're about serving you the best products, but we are also about respecting the environment and our neighbors in the process.
We compost our waste! All of food waste goes to a commercial compost facility and is turned into mulch. What’s even better? Our coffee cups, Iced Coffee Cups (made of corn!), straws, and napkins are all compostable! "Waste-Hauler Goes Green Turning Food Waste Into Compost", Connecticut Public Broadcasting Network.
We recycle what's recyclable. Packaging is a consideration when we purchase products. We are committed to becoming a 99% waste free restaurant and hope get rid of our dumpster before the end of 2009.
We purchase Wind Energy in hopes to reduce our impact on the environment. We have a water cooler set up in our dining room so you can fill your glass or bottles and not so many plastic water bottles will be used here. Our house coffee is organic and fairly traded (and delicious!) The chicken we serve (Bell and Evans) is all natural. It costs more, but we feel that it’s the best we can serve you. Tofu is always available for substitution for eggs or meat. Our coffee grinds are donated to local gardens.
We Love buying from local farms whenever possible including Deerfield Farms, Ceccarelli Farms, Dondero Orchards, Farm River Honey, and Northfordy Farms.
We support local charities and local people. We support the schools and local charities in lots of different ways. We sponsor tons of fund raisers, youth sports, the library, children's theatre and provide coffee at the local road races.
